Two-Stage VaPURE™ Process

Sanitization and Disinfection.

The VaPURE™ system was developed for sanitizing hospital environments, then adapted for buildings. A sterilant vapor treats mold on surfaces, in contents and in the air, and an antimicrobial protectant then stays on those surfaces after we leave.

Developed For Hospitals

Hospital origins, building-scale reach.

The VaPURE™ treatment disperses at around 7.5 microns, small enough to travel into the gaps, fabrics and porous materials a sprayed surface cleaner never reaches. Mold spores measure 12 to 30 microns, so the vapor gets to where they have already settled. The active component of the sterilant is on the EPA's Safer Chemical Ingredients List.

  • Treats mold on surfaces, in contents and in the air
  • 7.5 micron vapor against 12–30 micron mold spores
  • Also treats the bacteria behind musty and stale odors
  • Active component on the EPA Safer Chemical Ingredients List
Two-Step VaPURE™ Process

Treat today. Stay protected.

Stage one is the sterilant, dispersed as a vapor through the whole space. Stage two is an antimicrobial protectant that bonds to the surfaces it lands on and carries on working after we leave.

01  Stage One · Sterilant

VaPURE™ vapor application.

The patented VaPURE™ process treats mold and other microbes by eroding the cell wall and denaturing the protein inside it, leaving inert matter behind.

Because the sterilant is dispersed as a vapor rather than sprayed, it reaches places a cloth and a bottle cannot: voids, ductwork, soft furnishings and the porous materials where mold takes hold. It also treats the bacteria behind musty and stale odors.

Antimicrobial protective coating application Lasting protection
02  Stage Two · Antimicrobial Protectant

The antimicrobial protectant.

Stage two applies an antimicrobial protectant to surfaces to help resist regrowth. It forms a covalent bond with the material it lands on, so it does not wash off, and it is invisible and imperceptible once dry. It does not off-gas and contains no heavy metals or irritants.

The layer attracts new spores electrostatically and carries microscopic carbon spikes that disrupt them on contact, a bed of nails at a scale you cannot see. How long that protection holds depends on moisture: where the water source has been fixed it holds for about six years, and where a major leak is left unresolved it is measured in months.

  • Covalent bond: invisible and imperceptible
  • No off-gassing, no heavy metals or irritants
  • Keeps working on newly introduced spores
